As the oldest outdoor music festival in the United States, Ravinia Festival is held every summer from June to September in Highland Park, IL. The festival began over 100 years ago as an amusement park on the grounds of Ravinia Park, and today it hosts over 140 musically diverse events and concerts throughout its three-month season, including numerous performances by The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, who utilize the festival as their summer home.
