Originally started as a local radio station's promotional event, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico has grown into an unsurpassed even that has dazzled visitors for 44 years. The fiesta takes advantage of the New Mexico's "balloon box", a unique weather phenomenon referring to the wind coming from both the north and the south, for an amazing balloon experience, unparalleled anywhere else.
