The 2020 Masters of Tradition runs from Wednesday 19th to Sunday 23rd August in Bantry, Co. Cork. Artistic Director Martin Hayes, the renowned fiddler from County Clare, opens and closes the festival.
Performances take place in Bantry House and St Brendan’s Church. There will also be concerts in unique settings including Whiddy Island. Masters of Tradition provides a platform where subtle and sometimes obscure elements of Irish traditional music can be heard. By seeking the heart of the music we find a universal voice that has widespread appeal reaching across many cultural and musical barriers.
The full line-up will be available in May 2020.
Masters of Tradition is generously supported by the Arts Council, Cork County Council and Failte Ireland.
